Schedule: (times approximate)

8:00am: Set-up

9:00am: Site opens

10:00: Opening court

1:00pm: Potluck lunch. Bring a chair and your favorite fingerstyle dish to feed 10 or more. (You keep it cool until lunch.)

4:00pm: Closing court

5:00pm: Site closes

Fighting:

Heavy combat starts 30 minutes after Court closes.

Rapier combat starts 30 minutes after Court closes.

Combat Archery. Throughout the morning there will be open combat archery practice.  Tournament shooting at your leisure – Advise archery attendant when you are ready.

2:00pm:  Youth combat

3:00pm: Stag hunt

4:00pm:  Closing court

5:00pm: Site closes

Activities:

• Youth table with A&S projects to complete

• Youth scavenger hunt – pick up your scavenger hunt card from gate.

• Games for our smalls throughout the day (listen for the bell which denotes when games start)

• A&S People’s Choice Contest.  Bring something that you have made within the past 12 months.  Extra point if you attempt documentation.

• An Illumination contest. Bring something you are working on or have finished within the last month. Extra point if you have a copy of your inspiration with it.

• A half-dozen Largess contest.  Make 6 of something to donate to Their Excellencies for largess.   The winner gets to select one item from the contest as a prize. Make things you would like to win!

• Stag Hunt! Shoot at live targets!!

• A HUGE RAFFLE.  Donations to date include a half hide of leather, a wooden chair, etched leather belt, a T-tunic, a Viking dressed doll, hand-made trim, rattan, and much more. We will accept items for the raffle up to the day of event – See Olivia Valentina (FB NancyJ. Snodgrass-Thomas) for additional info.

Registration Information: Adults: $10.  Adults members: $5.00. Youth aged 15 and under are guests of the Barony.  Checks payable to SCA Inc/Barony of Wintermist. Merchants welcome, just pay the gate fee.

Directions:

From the south:  I-5north over the grapevine, then straight onto Hwy 99 to Bakersfield.  Take the Olive Drive exit westbound. Turn right at Fruitvale Avenue and drive one block and turn right onto Norris.   Park is on your right.  The event is on the east side of the park.

From the north:  Hwy 99 south to Bakersfield. Take the Olive Drive exit westbound. Turn right at Fruitvale Avenue and drive one block and turn right onto Norris.  Park is on your right.  The event site is on the east side of the park.
