Please join the Barony of Wintermist in celebrating its anniversary with fighting, feasting and fun! Who will answer the Baron and Baroness’ call to defend the fair lands of Wintermist?

Festivities will include Heavy Combat, Youth Combat, Scavenger Hunt for children ages 12 and under, and the Baronial Arts and Sciences Champion will be determined! There will be something for everyone!

Come and see what great raffle prizes will be available! Tickets will be sold at Gate and are $1.00 each, of 6 for $5.00!

Would YOU like to be the next Wintermist Arts Champion? The second and final leg of the competition Anniversary (May 20). The winner and new Arts Champion of Wintermist will be announced at closing court of Anniversary. Remember: To qualify for Arts Champion of Wintermist you must enter a minimum of three out
of four categories (with separate items) at both Knewbie and Anniversary. The best three scores from your (up to) four entries at each event will be recorded. The competition will be judged by People’s Choice, with our Baron and Baroness votes counting double. First place in a category = 5 pts, 2nd place = 3pts, 3rd place = 1pt. You can get 1 extra point for documentation. The entrant with the most points accrued will win.

The Anniversary assignments are as follows:
• Open Category: The Heavens, Moons, and Stars – write a poem or story, paint a picture, embroider something – anything goes! Just use the theme given and prepare to explain your interpretation of the theme.

• Functional category: Wood – make a box, whittle a statue, carve a bowl, just make something from wood.

• Decorative Category: Birds – Decorate anything, scroll, box, chair, ice chest, whatever, with birds.

• Edible Category: Sweets – make a medieval sweet Challenging? Good! This is for the Championship after all. Good luck! And Happy Crafting

The Site for Anniversary will open at 8:00 for the Populace and close promptly at 4:00 PM to allow time for the Feast to begin! Opening Court will begin at 10:00 or Their Majesties leisure and Closing Court will occur after the ending of the Tournament once the Raffle Winners have been announced. CA-99 N via EXIT221 toward Bakersfield/Fresno. Take the California
Ave exit, EXIT25, toward Civic Center. Turn right onto California Ave. Take the 1st left onto Oak St. Take the 1st left onto Truxtun Ave. Take Westside Pkwy. Take the Coffee Rd exit. Merge onto Brimhall Rd.

Directions from the north
CA-99 S via EXIT 126A toward Bakersfield/Los Angeles.
Take EXIT 31 toward 7th Standard Rd/Merle Haggard Dr.
Merge onto Golden State Hwy. Take the 1st right onto 7th Standard Rd. Turn left onto Calloway Dr. Turn right onto Brimhall Rd.
